On this occasion, the festival will pay tribute to Eduardo Charpentier Herrera, músico panameño, compositor y educador. And Eduardo Charpentier de Castro, Panamanian musician, flutist, teacher, researcher, composer and classical music orchestra director.

The seventeenth edition of the Alfredo De Saint Malo International Academic Music Festival (ASMF), organized by the Fundación Sinfonía Concertante de Panamá (FUNSINCOPA), will be held from June 21th to July 2nd, 2023 at different venues in the city. On this occasion, the festival will pay tribute to Eduardo Charpentier de Castro and Eduardo Charpentier Herrera.

The launch of the ASMF became a starting point for the holistic vision of the new educational and artistic platform for Panama and is one of the most important in Central America, benefiting the Filarmónicas Infantiles y Juveniles de Panamá program and the foundation’s scholarship program.

In order to promote musical culture and to publicize the valuable talent of the country and international artistic integration, the concerts will be free with reservation through the modality of donation, where the spectator will decide how much he/she wishes to contribute.

The ASMF is key to create and support programs and initiatives that promote and enrich art and culture in Panama with excellence and quality, especially those related to academic music, was born in a need for projects that disseminate this type of music, the festival has become a platform for our artists to show their art.

It should be noted that the festival maintains a social focus as it seeks to create sustainability for the benefit of the Children and Youth Philharmonic program of Panama and the FUNSINCOPA scholarship program.

Your donation is tax deductible according to Resolution No. 201-1476 (applies to Panama). Will be used to cover the expenses generated by the festival and the remainder for the program Filarmónicas Infantiles y Juveniles de Panamá, which currently continues to offer music and instrument classes to more than 150 children and young people from the most vulnerable areas of the city.
