Artist for the Artists

Artists for the Artists is FUNSINCOPA’s program that promotes integration between different actors in the classical music community by creating spaces for updating, expanding and exchanging the knowledge between invited artists, students and classical music professionals in Panama.

The Program manages and promotes courses, workshops, master classes, didactic performances and classical music concerts. The goal is to make these opportunities more accessible to those social groups in Panama that are deprived of them.

Collaboration

To achieve this, we seek to create strategic alliances with the different parties involved in the activities. Those include professors and artists from academic institutions (national and international universities and conservatories), members of international orchestras, embassies and national government institutions with cultural programs.

The alliances between FUNSINCOPA and the different organizations help to cover the costs of bringing these professionals to Panama. The exchange facilitates the recruitment of students willing to continue studying abroad.Furthermore, the program promotes the reciprocity of knowledge between the national and the international artists and the growth of the classical music audience in Panama.

Escuela sin fronteras

Escuela sin fronteras - School without borders is a series of online master classes. Through this medium we are providing the highest quality education to students in Panama and abroad. Classes are free and open to the public, but spots are limited.

Until now Escuela sin fronteras has invited recognized teachers from the United States, Costa Rica, Spain, Poland, Germany and Portugal, counting with the participation of students from Panama and more than 20 other countries, such as Costa Rica, Argentina, Spain, Mexico, Honduras, Guatemala, Venezuela and Peru.

To this day, 57 selected students were invited to play for the different teachers, receiving their comments and recommendations, in addition to the participation of 299 students as listeners.

These master classes have provided the opportunity for students from remote places to participate. Technology has allowed us to tear down borders and surpass distance.

The faculty included, among others:
