Our story and mission
Fundación Sinfonía Concertante de Panamá (FUNSINCOPA) is a non-profit organization founded in 2008 by the Panamanian cellist Isaac Casal with the support of renowned national and
international institutions such as the National Concert Association and the Orchestra of the Americas.

The launch of the international classical music festival Alfredo de Saint Malo became a starting point for a holistic vision of the new educational and artistic platform for Panama.
FUNSINCOPA’s ultimate goal is to impact as many people as possible, regardless of their economic status, to rise the new generations of musicians and music lovers, to give professional musicians in Panama creative impulses and networking opportunities and to promote Panama‘s role in the classical music scene in Central America and beyond.

The Festival’s mission is to build a community of exchange between local musicians and foreign music professionals and to create spaces where lovers of music and culture, and the general public can enjoy and appreciate classical music attending concerts of the highest level at affordable prices. Inspired by Venezuelan “El Sistema”. We reach out to youth in areas of Panama that are socially and economically vulnerable, providing them with opportunities and necessary resources to experience classical music and learn more about it. Read more…
We aspire to become cultural ambasador for Panama to other countries by creating opportunities for outstanding national musicians to perform alongside the international artists, promoting Panamanian composers and their music, establishing Panama as a significant classical music hub in Central America.
